About Me
Well hello there! My name is Robin Flaharty (she/her) and I am trained in Western Clinical Herbalism. My ancestry is a mix of Irish, Swedish and Germanic traditions.
I integrate western herbalism, plant folklore, self care and my ancestral traditions together in my approach to wellness.
For me, being a herbalist is a science and an art. It’s about studying plants, their histories, constituents, how they like to grow, and how they interact with the human body. Herbalism takes the whole plant, all of its constituents, habitats, and survival strategies and shares them with our whole body, both physical and emotional, to heal and to remember.
I found plant medicine in 2018 when I faced my own health crisis. Working with the plants grounded me back into my body, when I had felt so cut off from my physical experience. I remember the exact moment when I sipped a new herbal tea and felt immediate relief from my anxiety. I wanted to know where that feeling came from, and I learned about a mighty little herb called blue vervain and the profound shift a simple act of self care (like preparing tea) can have on a nervous system. From there I sought out my teachers and mentors, and started learning about the old ways of nourishing the body, heart and mind, about eating with the seasons, and about how humanity once lived in reciprocity and mutual culture with the nature around us. I find this practice gives me a living anchor in this digital age.
I would be honored to work with you on your wellness path. Send inquiries via email, and I will be in touch with you as quickly as possible.
